Hi, and welcome back to Judy’s Clean Beauty Corner!
The holidays are almost here, and wow, did they seem to come quickly this year! I hope that everyone has all their shopping finished, or close to it, and I hope that you get everything you wished for as well. Doesn’t it seem like, as women, we’re always taking care to make sure that everyone else’s needs are met? Maybe this year, if we haven’t already, let’s take care to make ourselves a priority, at least every now and then. Not to say we can’t still make sure that everyone we love is doing okay, but take some time for ourselves!
As we approach the New Year, (and new decade!), I’ve been reflecting on my year with Beautycounter. I’m pleased to say that I feel as strongly as ever about being a Beautycounter consultant. The products just keep getting better and better, and there are so many new products coming out. As you know if you’ve read my past blogs, the Countertime skincare line is my very favorite, and I’m happy to say that many of my clients are trying it, and loving it too! My skin has never looked or felt as good as it does since I’ve been using this line for the past 6 months.
I’ve talked previously about the Beautycounter Mission, and it continues to be the thing I’m most proud of in being affiliated with this company. Earlier in December, our Founder & CEO, Gregg Renfrew, testified before the House Committee on Energy and Commerce as an expert witness for cosmetic reform. Beautycounter is the leader in the Clean Beauty Movement, and we are trying to make industry-wide changes. There hasn’t been a major law passed regulating cosmetics and skincare since 1938! So, it’s up to us to keep ourselves, our families, and our friends, safer. Beautycounter is going beyond that to try to protect everyone with better laws so that you can run into the drugstore for lotion, eyeliner, lipstick and never have to think about the toxins in the product! I’ve written in the past about how, as I started to realize the reality of the environmental realities around us, I’ve changed many aspects of my life to safer products, including personal care products, cleaners, food, and even food containers. Here’s an interview that Maria Shriver did with Gregg on the Today Show, talking about how Gregg came to try to change an industry. http://bit.ly/TodayShowGregg
I’d love to have a conversation with you about Beautycounter. Whether you’d like to try our products or talk about the business side of things, I’m here to help, educate, and advocate for Safer Beauty. I’m doing my part to get safe products in the hands of everyone, so feel free to email, text, or call me, or just visit my website! I would love to help you clean up your skincare and makeup! If you have any questions my email is firstname.lastname@example.org, and my phone number is 678-362-4281 if you’d like to talk or text! Enjoy the holidays, and have a happy and healthy New Year!
Until next time…stay safer! Judy
