This past weekend I had the pleasure of visiting our friends who have a home at Lake Hartwell in Georgia. It was the perfect getaway. Close to home which is Atlanta but far enough away to feel like you have escaped your everyday routine.
My friend loves to reference her lake home with a four-letter word CALM….C for Calm, A for acceptance of the natural beauty that is surrounding you, L for love or let it go, and M for meditating. Now I might have embellished my own meanings here but I think you get the message. Just sitting at their dock you were transported to a calm and peaceful place. Some History on Lake Hartwell can date back to the early settlers around the lake that were Cherokee Native Americans. Some historical figures that lived in this area were Andrew Pickens and John C Calhoun. Today this manmade reservoir bordering Georgia and South Carolina is one of the Southeast’s most popular recreation lakes where you can fish, camp and of course Boating. So Mezza followers come and feel the CALM at lake Hartwell.
