It has been an exciting year at EDIN!
This year EDIN has connected with more than 40,000 people through our efforts to spread eating disorders awareness throughout the Atlanta community and in our schools. As part of that effort, we connected with more than 10,000 students, sharing programming about eating disorders identification as well as help resources, and offering a message of hope for recovery!
Some examples of those we reached include Kathy whose adult daughter has been struggling with anorexia nervosa for more than 15 years. At a middle school panel discussion, a mom approached me crying because her 14-year-old son would not eat at all. On behalf of EDIN, I was able to connect both of these families with the resources they needed to get help.
This is how EDIN makes a difference!
Today, EDIN is launching our 2019 Year-end Campaign to raise $30,000 so we can grow our outreach efforts in 2020. Next year’s goal is to speak to an additional 5,000 students about eating disorders. Why? Because there are still 8 million people suffering from eating disorders in the Southeast alone. If our campaign is successful, we’ll be able to offer more programming to more schools and touch more students, teachers, and counselors. But we need your help to do this. Would you be willing to make a special year-end, tax-deductible donation, in any amount your budget allows, to help us meet our fundraising goal and expand EDIN’s outreach in 2020?
Not only will your valuable gift help EDIN, it will be matched by an anonymous donor. This means that every $1 you give will be turned into $2, effectively doubling your impact on EDIN’s mission!

Thank you for your willingness to help those suffering from eating disorders in our community, and for your continued support and friendship.
