If you are looking for something a little different when in New York…take the Long Island Railroad or your car out to Long Island Wine Country. The East end of Long Island a hidden gem of fabulous vines. The Rustic appeal only adds to the charm of this new and up and coming wine country region. After tasting some of these great white wines and some red you can head over to the roadside farmers markets for locally sourced products. The Soil here on Long Island is excellent as well as the maritime climate for the vine.
Palmer Vineyard was one of my picks as well as Jamesport. Enjoy some great NY cheddar and crackers as you sip on some of their great wines as well. So Mezza followers head to Long Island not just for the Hamptons but “Where the art of the earth meets the craft of the people.”
